How to Set Up Freemiga VPN on macOS

This guide walks you through installing a VLESS/Xray-compatible VPN client on your Mac and connecting with your Freemiga subscription link — no command line required.

1

Download a VPN client

Download one of these VPN clients for macOS: Hiddify Next, V2Box (available on the Mac App Store), or ClashX Pro. Hiddify Next and V2Box both have a straightforward interface designed for VLESS/Xray subscription links.

2

Copy your subscription link

Log in to your Freemiga dashboard and copy your VPN subscription link from the Overview tab.

3

Add the subscription to your client

Open your VPN client and look for an option like "Add Subscription", "Import from URL", or "New Profile from URL". Paste your subscription link there and confirm to download your server configuration.

4

Select a server and connect

Choose the Freemiga server from the list, then click Connect (or toggle the switch in the menu bar icon). macOS may ask you to approve a new VPN configuration — allow it in System Settings > Privacy & Security if prompted.

5

Verify your connection

Open any browser and check your IP address to confirm you're connected. If you have no internet after connecting, try switching the client's routing mode (e.g. from "Rule" to "Global") in its settings.

macOS troubleshooting tips

If macOS blocks the app after installation, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway". If the connection is slow, try a different server or switch between TCP and the app's default transport in its advanced settings.
