How to Set Up Freemiga VPN on Windows
Follow this guide to install and configure a V2Ray/VLESS-compatible VPN client on Windows, then connect using your Freemiga subscription link. The whole process takes about five minutes and works on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Download a VPN client
Download one of these free, open-source VPN clients for Windows: v2rayN, Hiddify Next, or NekoRay. Each supports VLESS and Xray subscription links, which is what Freemiga uses. v2rayN is the most established option; Hiddify Next has the simplest interface if you're setting up a VPN for the first time.
Copy your subscription link
Log in to your Freemiga dashboard and copy your VPN subscription link (you'll find it on the Overview tab after your first purchase, or from Billing > active plan).
Add the subscription to your client
Open your VPN client, look for "Subscriptions" or "Subscription Group Settings" in the menu, and add a new subscription using the link you copied. Then right-click the subscription and choose "Update subscriptions" to fetch your server.
Select a server and connect
In the server list, select the Freemiga server that was added, right-click it and choose "Set as active server". Then enable the system proxy (or TUN mode) from the client's tray icon to route your traffic through the VPN.
Verify your connection
Visit any "what is my IP" site to confirm your IP address has changed. If pages don't load, double-check that the system proxy or TUN mode is switched on in your client, and that the subscription updated successfully.
Windows troubleshooting tips
If the connection drops randomly, try switching between TUN mode and system proxy mode in your client's settings. If Windows Defender or another antivirus blocks the app, add an exception for it.
